egg hunt, play by play

Zach all ready to go. Sarah and I made a chick bag and a rabbit bag for them to gather eggs in.
Sarah finds her first egg--the first of many.Zach finds his first egg, checks it out for a few moments, discovers that it opens, and then realizes that there is candy inside. He then spent most of his time opening and eating."Hey, mom, I found another one!"The ground rules set out before we began included that Sarah could not take any of the blue or green eggs. They were reserved for Zach, and if she found a blue or green egg, she was to assist Zach in finding it for himself. In true big sister style, here she is pointing out a blue egg for her little brother.Sarah, of course, made sure that no couch went unlooked-under and no egg went unfound.Once Zach discovered that the eggs had good stuff in them and that Sarah seemed to have more than him, he waited until she wasn't looking and rooted around in her bag of eggs. And, bingo, he came up with an egg to take. I didn't tell her, so don't you. I figure it was only evening things out a bit since...Sarah's plethora of pink and purple eggs...and Zach's meager haul--all in boy colors, of course.

Their Easter bags were so cute. Good idea to separate the eggs in a "yours & Mine" way.
