Two days ago Sarah came flying into the main room of our apartment from her bedroom. She seemed very upset. She spouted off with, "Could you please turn that movie off?! I'm trying to read!" I promptly turned the sound way down. And then she read.Last night I headed into Sarah's room to get some pajamas for the kids and prepare them for bed. Sarah said, "Mom, could you guys please go out? I'm trying to read." I grabbed my things and high-tailed it out of there. And then she read.
This morning in the car Sarah said, "Please turn the radio off. I need it quiet. I'm trying to read." I turned the radio off. And then she read.
We might survive the summer after all.

She's too smart! Hope the silence lasts for you.
