- Zach helped me with the laundry while I was feeding the baby. Usually this goes very smoothly from sorting to filling the washer to transferring to the dryer to emptying into the basket, but today his helping consisted of him randomly opening up the washer and throwing in whatever he could find whenever he felt like it. At one point, I had to stash the baby on the couch and rush downstairs to ensure that the washer didn't crash through the wall as it was hopelessly lopsided. I sure hope everything stays the color it is supposed to.
- My fat pants fit without me even having to suck in to button them. This is probably more a reflection of the fact that I stretched them back out a few days ago than that I am skinnier, but I prefer to think that I have skinnied up in the past few days.
- I may have escaped the house for a few minutes to return some books and movies to the library and to pick up some things at the pharmacy. Shhh, don't tell anyone that I left the house with a two week old.
- I cleaned out the microwave, and it felt like a pretty major accomplishment.
- Both children decided that they needed to make another set of valentines for their cronies. Apparently, one valentine was not enough.
- I made a real breakfast for everyone. We've eaten cereal a lot too much in the past few weeks.
- I attempted to clean the kitchen counters of their piles of junk. The mission was a complete failure. Maybe I'll try again tomorrow.
- I made a to do list of things to do tomorrow. Up to now, my to do list for each day has consisted of one do--keep everyone alive.
- I started back up on the m&m shots. I had forgotten how wonderful they were. And those mini m&ms have just the perfect ratio of candy coating to chocolate. Delicious!
- I'm contemplating going sugar free--no candy, no cookies, no treats, etc. Maybe I'll start next week. For sure I'll be finishing up all the mini m&ms before I get too crazy and go sugar free.
- Tonight I cooked up the last meal that someone from the ward brought us. It was yummy. We still have loads of leftovers. I'm not sure when I'm going to start making dinner again.
- A friend did a quick run to Costco for me for the essentials--milk, butter, bread, jerky, orange juice. Yes, jerky is an essential at our house. It felt really silly to have someone do my shopping for me when I feel perfectly fine and could probably do it myself. I have to keep reminding myself I have a newborn and need to avoid all of those germ factories (other people) out there.

Hmmm. Sugar free with a two week old, that's daring. I will support you from a far, but will not look down on you if you decide to put it off till he is a mature 4 weeks old.
