a winter wonder(if it will ever stop snowing)land

We have been pounded with winter weather lately, and we're all quite tired of it. It snows a minimum of six inches every few days, and the piles of shoveled snow are taller than Zach. I shoveled six inches off the driveway yesterday just before dinner (as penance for skipping out on going to the gym the past few mornings due to treacherous road conditions), and David used the snowblower to take care of another foot this morning. Due to the cold temperatures and the refusal of the snow to melt, the piles of shoveled snow are so high that I can scarcely lift the shovel above them to clear the driveway of the latest bounty. In the top picture you can see that the lights at the end of our driveway are nearly buried. Fortunately, we have nowhere that we must go (including school as it was cancelled again), and we can just stay home and stay warm with occasional forays out into the outdoors to throw snowballs and slide down the mountains of snow into the driveway with no sleds required. We may just hibernate and not emerge again until spring. It will be nice to see the ground again when that time rolls around.

Snow pants were a good investment! That's a lot of snow!
