countdown to bedtime

3 hours and counting!

Don't act like you've never counted down before, because you either have or you are a saint. If you say you haven't, I probably won't believe you anyway. I'm packing and cleaning and making dinner. If I have to wash one more dish today, I might scream. Consequently, we'll probably be using paper products for dinner. Zach's getting more teeth and has only had one nap today. Sarah is a bundle of energy. Every two minutes she asks if she can have a treat, watch a show, or play the computer. When I say no, she simply makes another mess somewhere and leaves it for me to find. And the countdown continues...

This is a daily ritual for me. Starts with the countdown somewhere around 3 p.m. til reinforcements (Alan) come, then only two hours after that until the house is peaceful. Then I stay up way too late because I'm enjoying the peace and quiet and pay for it the next morning.
