- the time I didn't put sunscreen or hats on the children while we wandered around the zoo and then the botanical gardens for hours (because it wasn't that hot) and they both got sunburned
- the time I put new sandals on Sarah and then took her to the museum without bothering to take socks just in case of blisters which she then got on her poor little feet resulting in me having to buy ugly horse socks for $8 at the gift shop so she would be able to walk without crying out in blister-ridden pain
I think either one puts me in the running. They survived. And it probably built character. Go ahead and vote for me!

Hey, I'm going to enter that contest, too. I found myself looking into the depths of the river tonight for signs of Bryn and Calvin at different times because I had lost track of them(thankfully no one actually drown- we found them by the highway).
I let Anna get burnt on her face on Friday, and every time I look at her I feel incredibly guilty. Glad to know I'm in good company.
