I looked out the window, and what did I see?
Snow.
In March.
Trying to have a positive, looking-forward-to-spring attitude, I got Sarah ready for school and Zach ready for the day. I didn't bother to check the school district website to make sure school would be in session. It didn't really look too bad out the window--just a dusting of snow on the houses and cars. The roads were mostly clear. Everyone got ready. We rushed to the car. We drove round and round and round and round out of the garage. Into a snowy mess. With yucky snow-packed and slippery roads. It turns out that the city I see outside my window scrapes their roads while the city we actually live in (We're like right on the boundary.) does not. At all. We slowly crept along the snow-packed streets, dropped daddy off at the bus stop, and drove the last few blocks to school. Empty parking lot. Snow day? Blast! Drive home. I say to myself that I should have checked the computer before heading out. Sarah says, "Mom, how does the computer know everything?" I say, "It's the beauty of the Internet." I check the website. Sure enough--snow day.
Morals of the story: The computer does know everything. And when there is any snow, it is vital we have a snow day. In this, New Jersey totally rocks Utah.

Wow, because we had a high of 88 degrees here in Phoenix yesterday.
I'm with Sarah. How DOES the computer know everything? When you find out that answer, please share!
