in the details

Every day, when I seek it, I experience the Lord's love in my life and feel His arms encircle me. We will find Him, as Elder Neal A. Maxwell stated, "in the details of our lives." I see evidences of the Lord's love in my morning walks when the air is clear and the first hint of light is in the east. I feel His love when a verse of scripture springs to mind and speaks to me in a new way. I recognize His love when I am taught by good women in Relief Society or by visiting teachers who care for me. I sense His presence when my heart responds to beautiful music or a memorable talk. Sisters, the Lord is everywhere when we open our eyes and hearts to His love.

Some places where I found His love in the details this week:
  • the beautiful tree pictured above on the way home from Sarah's dance class
  • some time alone on two different evenings
  • when I went visiting teaching and it helped me probably ten times more than the sister that I visited
  • when things went smoothly at our 72 hour kit Enrichment
  • when Sarah slept in until 9:00 this morning and Zach took a before church nap from 7:30 until 9:00 so I could finish preparing my lesson for RS
  • when a cute new sister in our ward offered to take Zach to the nursery and watch him during Sunday School and RS
  • when a friend helped me do hours and hours and hours of shopping for 72 hour kit stuff
  • when someone offered to let Sarah come and play so I could get some things done
  • when Zach signed and said "ti" for tiger the very first time
  • when my RS lesson went smoothly today
