And she's off! She was up bright and early all excited to go. She was dressed lickety-split. There was no complaining when we did her hair. She ate two fried eggs and some toast for breakfast. Apparently she changed her mind on the scrambled eggs. Then we walked to school. Fortunately, daddy was able to come along. The school seemed a bit chaotic, and I started to miss the first day of school as an employee. I always loved the excitement in the air. It's a little different from the perspective of a parent. They herded us into the library. The teachers called out the names of their students, and they assembled their classes and headed off down the hall to kindergarten.
