Sarah and I played a rousing game of Hide and Seek this morning. She, of course, hid while I did the seeking, and hide she did.
I looked in her bed and around her bed.
No Sarah.
I looked in her closet.
No Sarah.
I looked all around the crib and behind the door to her room.
No Sarah.
I looked on the couches and all around them.
No Sarah.
I looked in both bathrooms including the bath tubs.
No Sarah.
I looked in my closet as that is her new favorite place.
No Sarah.
I looked in my bed as that is a favorite place to hang out as well.
No Sarah.
Did I mention this fun little game took place at 4:00 a.m. this morning after I had put Zach back to sleep and noticed that she was missing? I said it was a rousing game, and I assure you that by this time I was fully awake.
I checked her bed and closet and the bathrooms again.
No Sarah.
I looked behind the door and at both couches again.
No Sarah.
I checked all available floor space in our room as she has been known to curl up and fall asleep there in the middle of the night.
No Sarah.
Our apartment isn't that big.
I was very worried and went to wake up David.
That's when I found her--asleep under our bed on David's side.
We now have a new rule at our house--no playing hide and seek unless mommy is awake to be informed that she is the seeker.
