hooray for the public library

We have a wonderful public library system here. Although I confess I sometimes find taking Sarah to the library a trying experience, we go frequently. She is signed up to attend story time. We also will be going to several other activities and events at the library this fall. We've been checking out all kinds of books--ones for me to read aloud to her, ones for her to read to me, books for me, picture books, and books on cd. Genius!!! She will sit quietly and listen to a book on cd, and I get 30 minutes off duty. She listens to them in the car while I navigate the crazy highways and roads here chatter free. She listens to them over and over. I am in love with books on cd. Why have I never thought of this before? I wonder if there is a limit on how many you can check out at a time...
