We ventured into the city tonight to attend the Museum Mile Festival. Basically, it is just a big street party with performers, food vendors, and sidewalk chalk for people to write on the streets. Oh, and free admission to all of the museums along Fifth Avenue. They close Fifth Avenue down for twenty blocks and allow people to wander around and enjoy the evening. Sarah wasn't thrilled about attending as it meant we might have to go to a museum. Zach perked right up when I mentioned museums-until he found out that they weren't train museums. Apparently, after our recent escapades in Pennsylvania, he thinks all museums are about trains. We didn't actually attend any of the museums as the lines were extremely long. We did, however, get our fill of sidewalk chalking, sidewalk painting, and Dominican ices. And dog petting. On the way back uptown to the car, Sarah had to check to make sure her chalk masterpieces were still there. And Zach had to walk as much as possible.
