Today, however, I decided I couldn't miss out on this chance to go up to Lagoon and see Sarah in action on the rides. We piled into the car and headed out with the cousins. We arrived just in time for the opening and the downpour that quickly ensued. It rained and rained and rained. And then it rained some more. It was a storm the likes of which has not been seen in Utah for a long time. Like smart people who know bad rainstorms and have endured more than our share with just a stroller for protection, we stayed in the car. Everyone thought we were wimpy, but I know a thing or two about my kids slogging through thunderstorms. We ate our picnic lunch and listened to the radio. When they predicted it wasn't going to get better for a while, we headed back to the cousins' house to wait it out. Not too much later the cousins arrived soggy from head to toe. They were drenched and cold. Soon the sun reappeared, and after the clothes had a quick run through the dryer, we headed back for the afternoon.
This is the part where I admit that I actually had a lot of fun. I went for a spin on several of the kiddie rides usually with Zach as my partner and really enjoyed myself. The kids, however, had a smashing time. Sarah went on every ride she was determined tall enough to tackle, and she even got to go with dad and some of the big kids on some of the more exciting rides. Zach tried every ride that involved some type of vehicle-plane, train, car, helicopter, truck. When he found a ride with a plane and a gun, he was certain he had hit the jackpot and that Lagoon was his favorite place ever. We zipped. We zoomed. We flew. We drove. We dropped. We splashed. We swung. We squashed, and we smashed. Watch out, Lagoon! We'll likely be back next year.

The fourth picture from the bottom is really great. Can you fotoshop the lady out of the background?
