For today's adventure we headed over to Chuck E. Cheese with Grandma Schmidt, and the kids were beside themselves with excitement. Sarah has been begging for a trip to this kid's adventure mecca for months, and all her dreams came true today. We wisely ate elsewhere for lunch and then headed in with our 100 tokens. Fortunately, we had 100 tokens because these little darlings were plopping their tokens in games and rides left and right. The favorite ride by far was the monster truck. Zach's eyes lit up when he saw it, and when he got to get in, he grinning from ear to ear. More than a few tokens were used on this attraction. When they played a game or two and started earning tickets, they were thrilled. It was impossible to know what was more thrilling-the tokens or the tickets. Not only did you get to put a token in a slot and play a game, but you also got tickets at the end. What could be more thrilling than that? Sarah enjoyed the bug stomping game, and Zach was all over the ski ball game. Of course, he was unable to roll a single ball hard enough to get it up into the actual game, but I was more than happy to roll a few balls myself. It provided for double the fun. At the end of the day we had 250 tickets to trade in for some real treasures and 20 leftover tokens to save for another time.
