Summer just isn't summer without s'mores, and I don't think my kids had ever actually had s'mores until last night. Feeling a little too lazy to go up into the canyon for a fire, we just built one in the old grill on the back patio. It could not have been easier. Or yummier. We tried to grill our marshmallows to perfection but, of course, burned them. They still tasted yummy when we tried them with the old-fashioned graham crackers and chocolate bars or with the easier fudge stripe cookies. The best part, however, was just holding the roasting sticks in the fire.
