While at the store several weeks ago, Sarah asked as she usually does for everything in sight. No. No. NO. As the mom, that is my usual response. The girl has more than enough stuff as it is. She begged, however, throughout the whole shopping trip for a sleep mask. The one she had found she declared to be the perfect one, the one she has always dreamed of. It was both silky and light blue and she feared she could not go on without it. So I snuck it into the basket and pair for it without her knowing it and surprised her with it later. She was thrilled and put it on right away. Now she won't sleep without it. Every night when I check on her in bed, I can't help but smile as she slumbers on in her sleep mask. It's just so Sarah.
