I love having wood floors, but I don't love cleaning them. I do my best with the broom and the Swiffer, but they are generally covered with crumbs and are dirty. I often find, thought, that I can't get the floors as clean as I would like with the Swiffer. Today, I simply couldn't stand it any longer. I sent Zach into his room for a "nap," and then proceeded to sweep my guts out. Then I scrubbed the floor--like on my hands and knees scrubbed the floor. When I finished, I felt great--until I went to summon Zach from his room. And saw the disaster that he had created. His nap apparently went something like this--open and dump! It is such a fun game!- legos, check!
- letter blocks, check!
- wooden blocks, check!
- trains, check!
- bucket of cars and trucks, check!
- tool set, check!
- mega-blocks, check!
- letter flashcards, check!
- instruments, check!
- entire contents of play kitchen, check!
I'm not sure what took longer--scrubbing the large expanse of wood floor on my hands and knees or cleaning up from Zach's "nap."
