Sarah has anxiously been awaiting this day for months-the kindergarten celebration. She started talking ages ago about learning a dance at school. Songs that I didn't recognize would come on the radio while we were in the car, and she knew them. I couldn't figure out where she was picking these songs up at. Then a few weeks ago, she started asking me to find songs for her on YouTube. Ever since then she has been a dancing fool. She knows complete dances to 5 or 6 songs and wants to perform them every single night. They have been working on these dances at school for months, and the big celebration was finally today. She could not wait to get dressed and get there to perform. Her big number was a song called Mas Que Nada, and I must admit she was the best dancer in the group. And I'm not just saying that because I am her mom. She was really shaking her hips. As in she could probably be a hula dancer. She was that good. Several parents stopped me to comment on her awesome hips. The whole program was adorable featuring an Emmy award type program. Each number had about 7 or 8 kindergartners performing. The kids were awesome. Even Zach liked it. At the end they showed a presentation with pictures taken of the kindergartners throughout the year. And the best part of the celebration (besides the hips)-5 and a 1/2 more weeks of school!
