sometimes I wonder...

what my kids are thinking about.

She's a thinker, this Sarah of mine. She is always asking me funny questions or popping off with some out-of-the-blue comment which piques my curiosity about what kinds of thoughts are tumbling around in her head. If I could, I'd like to take a peek inside her thoughts, to see the kinds of connections her experiences have left behind. I wonder what she thinks about me, about life, and about things. At times I can see the gears churning and wonder just what it is that is happening inside her little head...

As for Zach, I would like to experience his thoughts when he's giggling at Sarah's antics or cooing and squealing up a storm. I'd like to know what he's thinking when he's lying so happy and content. It might also be nice to get a peek into his thoughts at those fussy times, to know just how to cheer the little fellow up. I would like to see where his thoughts go while his eyes follow me around a room...

It seems clear to me that he is sizing you up to know if you are trustworthy or not.
