martha, martha, martha

Action!!!
Oh, wait! We weren't the stars of the show. Martha was. I'm going to go ahead and admit here that I quite like Martha Stewart. I like her magazines. I like her website. I like her collections in the stores. I currently really like her show. Especially because the tickets are free. We went to Chelsea today for a live taping of the Martha Stewart show and had a fabulous time. Her guests were Jim Kramer from Mad Money (I had never heard of him) and Dr. Peter Pressman, a well-known genetics and breast cancer expert at Cornell University. She was kicking off Breast Cancer Awareness Month by making a healthy pink drink and showing some products currently out where some percentage from the sales of each product goes to support breast cancer research. She also fixed a chair. The studio is awesome. I want to have the kitchen that she has in her studio--complete with all of the dishes and stuff. The craft room in the studio is lovely as well. I'll take one of those also. Too bad for me I'm not likely to have anything resembling these anytime soon. Remember how I said I really like her show. Here's why. I am now the proud owner of one of each of the products she highlighted on the show! Sweet! Thank you, Martha! I am telling you this was almost as good as being on one of those Oprah's Favorite Things shows. Or at least I imagine it is as I have never actually been on one of those. Here's a little list of the take-home LOOT:

You got a free mixer! Was it pink?

Don't you already have a kitchen aid mixer? Cause we have a lot of your stuff and we didn't seem to get one... soooo... just whatever you think would be best here...

Glad to see that the sisters-in-law have inherited the Vawdrey "get stuff free" gene. Awesome that you got so much loot!

And Sarah cracks me up with her adult sense of the world. The oil change being actually kind of boring was hilarious.
