nope...

...we didn't see the pope! In the past people have had a tendency to ask if we saw someone famous or important who had visited here in the city. Sometimes I want to get out in the crowds and go do something crazy like the Thanksgiving Day Parade or the St. Patrick's Day Parade or the ticker tape parade for the Giants going to the Superbowl, but usually I don't go. In fact, I chickened out of going to all of the above venues. I have this insane fear of losing one or both children in a large crowd of people. This time, however, with the visit of the pope I didn't even consider going. As it turns out we're not Roman Catholic, and I've been to the Vatican already (although I did not see the pope there). Maybe if the Prophet came, I'd pack the kids up and head on down.

I sort of had a similar experience when they blew up the smokestacks in Murray. I kept wondering if I should go or not... and I went. It was one of the most amazing things that I have ever been party to. I'm disappointed in your lack of enthusiasm. And your chances of seeing the pope or the prophet seem to be swayed towards the prophet. I would have just wanted to see his popemobile. Next major event, you should definitely go.
