musical beds

Sometimes we play a little game I like to call musical beds. It works like this. Everyone starts out sleeping in one place--sometimes it is their own bed, sometimes not. Then, over the course of the nap or the night, we all move around to different beds, couches, cribs, floors, or any other possible sleeping surface as much as possible. It's really fun. Often we all wake up from the nap or the night still tired. Well, I do, anyway. Our Sunday afternoon nap went something like this. David falls asleep on the couch. It is too noisy, so he gets up and goes in on Sarah's bed. Zach refuses to fall asleep in his crib, so he comes in with me in our bed. Sarah watches tv. Sarah comes in and wakes me up. I realize Zach is asleep and put him in his crib. I go back to sleep in our bed. Sarah goes in and wakes her dad. Getting little response from him, she comes in and wakes me up. I find her another show to watch. Seriously. Isn't the point of tv so that the mother can have a much needed nap? The show is apparently scary, so she wakes her dad up. She climbs in bed with him and goes to sleep. Pretty typical round of musical beds around here.
