My boy Zach has been sick with a cold and a cough for weeks. Try as he might he just has not been able to shake it. After four nights of waking up early or staying up late or waking up in the middle of the night to scream for hours, I decided it was time to go to the doctor. A mom can only take so much on so little sleep. I was worried he might have an ear infection. It was the only thing I could think of to explain the endless screaming as he is generally such a happy little guy. We trekked in to the doctor today. The verdict: possible pneumonia. Now the little fellow is on antibiotics (my first experience with antibiotics with my kids) and seems to be on the mend. I think he's crossed the hump for screaming and is now on to excessive amounts of sleeping. We'll be staying in, rocking, snuggling, sleeping, watching movies, and cuddling for the next few days. Hopefully, he'll start feeling better soon.

Poor baby :(. I'm amazed that you've never had to do antibiotics before! That's impressive. Hopefully it'll fix him up quick.
What???? First time for anitbiotics for your kids???? So lucky! Hope Zach is feeling better soon!
I'm so sorry for poor Zachy! Let me know if you need help over the next little bit and if you eventually feel up for a play date we'd love to see your family again.
