• someone at our house starts nearly every sentence with "the thing is..."; "here's the point..."; or "this might sound crazy, but..."
• this same someone has learned to use the TiVo quite to her (I mean this person's) advantage. This would include deleting our season pass to Thomas the Tank Engine and setting the TiVo to record such gems as Hannah Montana, Cyberchase, Lazytown, Willa's Wild Life, and Sabrina the Animated Series. I'm just hoping that this individual chose the single episode option rather than the season pass option or all may be lost.
• this same person rotates the same seven or so skirts and dresses until I don't think I can stand it for one more day. So I go and buy this person some new dresses. I avoid the ones that I like but know that this person will not like and get the ones that are right up this picky little person's alley. These are the responses this person gave my choices. (adorable pink dress with blue polka dots) "I hate black!" When I mentioned that it was, in fact, blue, this person repeated, "I hate black!" And threw it on the floor. (pink dress with dark pink butterflies--how could I possibly go wrong here?) "I hate red. And I hate butterflies. It has puffy sleeves." (plain pink dress) "I hate pockets." Interesting that this person's current favorite dress that is worn every third day has pockets in the very exact same place.

In conclusion, please send chocolate! I'm going to need significant quantities to ensure my survival and my sanity.
