Since Sarah was home sick from school and daddy was out of town and with a ridiculously long day ahead of us, we decided to make some haunted houses. I prepped the houses by hot gluing the houses together. Sarah was more than happy to help gather the candy and other supplies. And we were off!

Don't let this picture fool you. Zach did very little haunted house making. I decorated most of his house. It appears that he is putting a whopper onto the house, but he is actually taking it off the house.

And eating it. He spent most of his time eating more and more and more candy. And spilling the sprinkles.

Sarah worked so hard on her haunted house. She was quite proud of the pattern she made with m&ms on the roof. And her candy corn chimney. Don't tell her that Zach has since eaten it. I don't think she would be pleased.

And of course the roof needed some orange colored sugar.

Zach also enjoyed admiring my handiwork. I think it was because he was then close enough to pull pieces off to munch on. Little sneak. I have since caught him up on the counter eating away at the haunted houses several times. I considered having them dress up as Hansel & Gretel for Halloween. It appears now that I should have insisted.

Here is Sarah's finished product. She is very proud of it. The ghost is headed right in to haunt that house properly. We had a great time and are looking forward to gingerbread houses before long.
