I had to take Zach into the city to the doctor today. I've been wanting to walk across the bridge for weeks now, so I decided this was the perfect opportunity. The bridge is massive and so busy with cars and trucks. I love to just stand and look at the beautiful view of the city. I like to look up the river and down to see the boats, airplanes, and helicopters passing by. I also love how when big trucks drive by the whole bridge shakes under your feet. You can only feel it if you stand still. Zach shouted "Bridge!" and "Truck!" and "Car!" the whole way. It's about a mile to walk all the way across. At the doctor, Zach was given a clean bill of health and determined to be in about the 43rd percentile for height and weight. He also got a regular flu shot as well as the H1N1 flu shot. Poor kid! After inspection of the tick and the ear, it was determined that he is just fine. He fell asleep on the way home, so instead of dragging him out of the stroller and onto the bus, we walked back home across the bridge. He slept the whole way--roaring traffic and all. Total distance: 6 miles!
