the rite aid game

I have recently become a Rite Aid shopper. I used to wonder what pharmacies were good for. After all, you can get your prescriptions at any old store or even online, but I have become converted to Rite Aid. They have some great deals, but it requires a little bit of effort. I recently purchased all of these things there and got a good deal as well.
Total spent: $18.59
Rebates: $5.00
Coupon Savings: $10.00
Total Spent: $22.81
Rebates: $1.00
Coupon Savings: $11.00
Total Spent: $20.88
Rebates: $2.00
Coupon Savings: $5.00
Total Spent: $20.98
Coupon Savings: $6.00
Total Spent: $19.73
Rebates: $2.25
Coupon Savings: $16.25

So I spent $102.99 at Rite Aid in the past two months on things that I would normally purchase and use. I saved a total of $48.25 using coupons. And I get $10.25 mailed back to me in a rebate check. That means all of this stuff cost me $92.74. That sounds pretty good to me. But then I factor in the best rebate of all where if I purchase $100 worth of Proctor & Gamble products (based on the shelf price and not accounting for coupon savings), I get a $35 VISA card. That brings my total spent on these products to $57.74. That is a sweet deal! I went to Target to price these items and got the prices for about half of the items purchased before I got tired of rushing around writing down prices with a wiggly toddler. The total to that point was $110.44. And now I'm stocked up on loads of essentials for a while-as well as slinky dogs and valentine Pez.
