Sarah had show and tell at school today. This is what she wanted to take. An entire basket full of treasures including 2 pencils, a mini maraca, an hourglass timer, a plastic dolphin, a bracelet, a ballpoint pen insert (you know-just the inside part), an emory board, an empty ziploc bag, a broken ornament, a plastic trophy, a barrel of monkeys (minus the monkeys), a Cinderella cupcake topper, 3 window clings, 5 notebooks, 2 pencils, and 3 pairs of sunglasses. This is in addition to the book she took to school "for show and tell" earlier in the week and a few other treasures I found smuggled in her backpack. Apparently, she is planning on showing and telling and showing and telling and showing and telling for the better part of the day. She was not amused when I refused to let her take these items. I'm pretty sure no kindergarten teacher needs these precious treasures floating around her classroom.

The small objects floating around the room was never the problem...it was the tears that were sure to flow when those precious objects found their way into the wrong hands!
