snow day report

In all my years as a student and employee in public school, I experienced one snow day. Sarah has now (if you count pre-K) had 4. There was a big storm in the forecast for overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday with snow continuing through Wednesday, so they pre-emptively cancelled school on Tuesday. It did snow-and snow and snow. I didn't think there was that much snow, but I suppose we got about a foot. Sarah was thrilled to stay home the first day. We tried to stay busy with watching movies, making cookies, working on Valentines projects, reading, playing Polly Pockets, taking her Polly Pockets swimming in the bathroom sink, watching more movies, doing more reading, and finally playing in the snow. The second day I think she secretly wanted to go back to school. You can only watch so many movies and read so much. In her prayers that night, she prayed that she would be able to get back to school the next day. By Friday she was thrilled to get back in the swing of things at school. And frankly, so were Zach and I.
