Sarah is enthralled with all things public transportation. On the shuttle bus to David's graduation from the University of Utah in May of 2007, she asked if girls could be bus drivers. When I told her yes, she proclaimed that she wanted to be a bus driver when she grew up. I fear that her many experiences with public transit here in NYC have only increased this desire. The girl loves a good subway ride. She still enjoys riding the bus as well. She also likes trains. Today she set up a train in our living room with four seats for passengers and a conductor seat. I bet you can't guess who the conductor was. She directed her father and I to our seats after punching our tickets (index cards). She insisted that Zach also needed a ticket even though he is just a baby. Judging by the number of punches on each card, I think this may have been her favorite part although she also seemed to enjoy calling out stops. When her father and I tired of riding the train, we were fortunate to be able to convince dolly, gato grande, and panda bear to board the train for a ride. I think their final destination was Utah.

Yet another reason we've got to get our kids together. Mine would like nothing better than to ride on a pretend train in the living room all day.
