eight years

Sometimes it is hard to believe that we have been married for eight years. Other times it seems that we have always been together. Here are just a few things I've learned in eight years of marriage:

• Anything I can do, David can do better.
• It's really great being married to someone who is good at everything and has lots of good things happen to him.
• Generally, I am the one who does the dumb things--or at least gets caught when I do dumb things. (He has to have done at least one dumb thing in his life, right?)
• Everyone always says to not go to bed angry. This doesn't really work for me as I get more hysterical and hungry and unreasonable as I get tired staying up to try to discuss it. Much better to sleep on it and discuss it the next day.
• Children really do need two parents.
• We cannot grocery shop together. When he goes to the grocery store, he buys very different things than I do when I go.
• We are not romantics.
  
• He's very good to me in many ways.
