all grown up

We went and bought a suit this weekend. I bought myself a complete outfit from Ann Taylor Loft. We did some other big things all on our own. It made me really start to think. We're all grown up. In the past we have relied on family a lot. Since moving out here, that hasn't always been possible. Despite my thirty years, I have always felt like a kid. Not a kid kid, but still very young. I'm not sure why. Other than not having a mortgage, we do many grown-up things--paying rent, paying for several different types of insurance, have kids, pay bills, have (or have had for seven years) responsible, professional jobs where others rely heavily on our work, save money, have 401k plans, and many other grown up type things. Oddly enough, I am just now realizing that I am, in fact, a grown up. When did this happen? How did this happen? If you need me, I'll be over at Forever 21 getting some hip, new, young people clothes to try to regain my youth.
