letter of the week

We are plugging right on through the alphabet, and we're focusing on letter I this week. Some weeks/letters are better than others, and it seems that I is a little harder to come up with ideas for. If you've got any I activities for us, let me know. Here's what we'll be doing this week:
  • ice cream-eating lots of it both at home and at the ice cream store; making it using ziploc bags; earning construction paper ice cream scoops in order to earn more ice cream; and doing counting, addition, and subtraction with construction paper ice cream scoops
  • eating Italian food
  • instruments-playing with the ones we already have; possibly making them; playing our Wolfie game on the computer that is all about instruments
  • playing I Spy
  • ice-making it; using it in our drinks; looking for icicles (although we likely won't find many); and possibly ice skating
  • staying inside as it is quite cold outside
  • inside-out day-wearing our clothes inside-out
  • igloo-making one with sugar cubes or marshmellows
  • insects-talking about them and looking at pictures of them
  • inch-measuring to see how many inches things are using our inchworm
  • investigate-????
