It has only snowed here in New York twice this winter and does not appear to be anywhere in the immediate forecast. I'm grateful for this as it makes getting around a bit more difficult. I think I got my fill of snow while we were visiting in Utah over the holidays. While it snowed a lot there, it was not good snow--for making snowmen, snowballs, snow angels, and such--and was much too cold for any of these activities anyway. Honestly, I don't much miss the snow, but Sarah had high hopes for doing all kinds of snow activities and did not get the chance. I decided we would have to make our own little winter wonderland in our apartment, and she has really enjoyed it. Here are some shots from our winter escapades! First, we built a snowman. I call him Frosty, but Sarah keeps calling her Grandma Vawdrey. She's upset with me that I didn't put a flower on her hat instead of a buckle.

We made a ton of snowflakes and plastered the walls with them as well as hanging a number of them from the ceiling. Sarah loved helping me with the "clips" to hang them on the ceiling.

We had an indoor snowball fight. This was awesome as we stayed nice and toasty warm (and dry) but also had fun. We gathered all the white socks we own, made them into "snowballs," and went crazy. Sarah thought she had died and gone to heaven!
