silly sayings by sarah

  • At the airport when we first arrived in Salt Lake, it was snowing really hard, and we were a bit concerned about the driving conditions. Sarah said, "I could walk all the way to grandma's house."
  • On our first morning in Utah several weeks ago, Sarah walked across the floor and then said, "I really like this fuzzy stuff." She was referring to carpet. I promise the child is not deprived. We have had hardwood floors for most of her life although we did have carpet in the bedrooms in our house in Riverton.
  • One evening we were waiting for David to come back to Grandma & Grandpa Vawdrey's house so we could go to Grandma & Grandpa Schmidt's house. Sarah said, "If Daddy doesn't get here soon, we could just go without him and walk."
  • In the middle of the night (about 3:00 am) when she had the flu, she collapsed onto the floor and exclaimed, "I think I'm going to die!"
  • When Grandma Vawdrey told her she had the flu bug, she said,"Where did that flu bug come from? I think Grandpa should kill that bug. I think we should stomp that flu bug. I think it flew away."
  • After we got back to New York, we called my parents on the phone. Sarah dialed, and when my dad answered, she talked for a minute before handing the phone to me and saying, "Is that Grandpa or Santa?"
