I'm not much for keeping up with the news, so I didn't find out President Hinckley had passed away until Monday morning. I remember distinctly when President Hunter passed away and President Hinckley became the Prophet. I felt an instant connection with him. I'm so grateful for his example and for his leadership as our Prophet over the past 12 years. I'm also very grateful for his vision of temple building. It is due to him that I have a temple here in Manhattan. I've been meaning to go by it for several weeks but haven't made it due to one reason or another. I went today just to walk by. It was beautiful.
