should have napped kind of day

Yesterday evening Sarah was so excited to tell David about her field trip when he got home from work that she camped out at the door waiting for his arrival. She wedged her new carseat in between the door and the doorframe and sat down with giraffe, cow, and her blanket to wait for him. I'm sure the neighbors got a kick out of watching her, but she was entertaining herself (so of course I allowed it). I checked on her occasionally and finally realized that she was being much too quiet. I went to check on her again and found her asleep. I guess I should have made her take a nap earlier in the day. Maybe then I could have had a nap too!
