Just when I think this child sleeps more than is humanly possible, he wakes up for a really long period of time (like four hours). Fortunately, this is usually at a good time, but occasionally it occurs in the middle of the night (once last week from 1:00 am until 3:30-may have dozed off about 2:00 until Sarah fell out of bed and woke him right back up). He's usually not fussy-just awake, awake, awake with no sign of sleeping in sight. I have discovered, however, that a ride in the stroller (preferably on the subway) is a surefire way to put him to sleep. Seriously, check out his ride up top here. As we are currently carless and the stroller is our wheels, he's ridin' in style. Also, who doesn't get on the subway here in NY and want to take a nap, what with all the screeching of brakes and loud rumbling noises?

You're lucky-my kids both had the opposite schedule as babies (if they ever slept more than 3 hours in a row it was cause for celebration, day or night).
