I've had kind of a hard time getting into the holiday spirit. There's no snow yet. We didn't bring many Christmas decorations with us. I've been worrying over gift ideas, or rather, lack of gift ideas to give to family and friends. I have very few ideas of what to get for Sarah. I don't really know what I want for myself or what to get David. Anything we get has to either be shipped here or shipped to Salt Lake or small enough to carry in our luggage. The calendar is coming along but much more slowly than I would like. That reminds me that I need the last few pictures from Halloween and Thanksgiving or fall types of things. Get them to me quickly in the best format for you. I guess it's been a bit stressful which has kept the holiday spirit out. Then we went downtown with some friends to see Christmas in the city, and things are looking up! These are some of the delightful things we saw. Above is the Christmas decor in Saks Fifth Avenue.

This is a Santa Claus made entirely out of Legos at FAO Schwarz.

The beautiful decorations at Macy's in Herald Square. It is the largest Macy's department store ever. I need to get some better shots of the beautiful poinsettias. They're real, and they're incredible!

This is a fabulous window display at Lord & Taylor. They had scenes of Christmas celebrations from all over the world. This one is portraying Christmas in Venice.

Sarah along with a star-type thing in Rockefeller Center.

This is the tree in Rockefeller Center. Check out the awesome stars and angels. I love the angels. A big thanks to Spencer for climbing into the bushes to take this picture! It turns out Christmas in the city is quite exciting. Who wants to come out for a visit next Christmas?
