
Here are some of the C activities we will be doing this week:
- making chocolate chip cookies (and using measuring cups) and maybe sugar cookies with cookie cutters
- doing color hunts around our apartment and working on color pages for our color book
- color experiments (with food coloring) to see what colors you get when you mix them
- reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle and making either egg carton caterpillars or paper chain caterpillars
- Christmas countdown chain
- making pictures by tracing cookie cutters
- making pictures with precut circles of all sizes-the circles can be used whole or cut into pieces like a pie; cutting with scissors
- decorating and wearing a crown
- calling cousins
- making a cootie catcher
- talking about constellations-we have a great book for this
- clouds-talking about them, looking for them in the sky, making some with cotton balls
- snacks-crackers & cheese, chips & cheese, carrots, celery, chunks of cheddar cheese
- making a snowflake with cotton balls and cotton swabs
- counting with cotton balls; possibly addition as well
- making confetti
- cookie cutter candy ornaments
- making Christmas cards for Sarah to send
- making carrot cake-and possibly baking in cupcake format
- making chocolate covered things-like strawberries and pretzels and marshamallows
- eating Chinese food
- making a calendar for Sarah to use for next year
- building a cardboard castle
- buying and playing with Colorforms
- decorating a can for putting things in
Other ideas we won't be doing:
- cereal necklaces or cereal pictures
- coloring eggs
- making caramel popcorn
- chocolate or cheese fondue
- talking about/making a clock
- making clown cupcakes
- going to the circus
- craft projects
- wearing costumes
- playing with cars
- eating cotton candy
So many possibilities-I love the letter C!
