It's all about the pea coat here which is fabulous since I have three. Women all over the city are wearing them. You simply can't go wrong with a pea coat. They can be useful for both dressy and casual occasions. Of course, you have to have one in black, but the variety of colors I'm seeing here is astounding. New York & Company just down the street from me has them in black, brown, navy blue, red, tan, and creme. They come in short, mid-length, and long. I even saw someone wearing an adorable short green one on the subway the other day. I must admit I nearly asked her where she got it. I'd buy another one (probably in red) to satisfy my vanity if I could, but I think if I buy any coat this winter, it will be an incredibly warm and boring one to help me survive the elements.

I better get one of these! My other friend who lives in NY just did a blog about the coat she bought. It's a good thing we have you New Yorkers to keep us in style.
