letter of the week

These are our B activities for the week. (Here's to hoping we get some of them done.) Again, let me know if you can think of any additional ideas.
  • beads-make a bracelet; make a necklace; make patterns; counting, sorting, addition, subtraction
  • blocks-building things; making words with letter blocks; counting, addition, subtraction
  • berries-buy berries at the store; berry smoothies; berry pancakes or muffins
  • books-read, read, read books; borrow books from the library; make a book
  • black, brown, blue-make books or pages for a color book with items that are these colors; search around the house/outside for items that are these colors
  • breakfast-eat breakfast for every meal one day with LOTS AND LOTS OF BACON!
  • body-draw a picture of it, talk about our bodies, identify body parts
  • B handwriting pages
  • bees, bugs, butterflies-make them with egg cartons or coffee filters; draw them, paint them; look for them outside
  • B hunt around the house-look for items that begin with the letter B
  • bridge-a walk on the George Washington Bridge
  • building-maybe visit the Empire State Building
  • boats-look for boats on the Hudson River while walking on the GWB; ride the Staten Island Ferry; make an apple boat
  • bubbles-bubble art; blow bubbles
  • birthday things-have a pretend birthday party or real one if there is an actual birthday during the week (we have David's birthday next week); birthday cake, candles, balloons, presents, cards, etc.
  • balloons-counting, sorting, addition, subtraction; use for art?
  • bags (paper)-paper bag puppets and a puppet show; paper bag pilgrim/Indian outfit and a Thanksgiving dinner; make a bag
  • brownies, bread, bananas, banana bread
  • bus-take a ride on one, count how many we see around town
Other ideas we won't likely be doing:
  • going to the beach
  • playing with balls
  • activities about babies/brothers
  • making bows
  • bath tub activities

Those are fun ideas! Now hurry up and get to T, because that's what I have to do this week with Rachel's preschool ; ).

I am disappointed and a little ticked off. There is not one mention of any activities using Bacon. Talk about raising a misguided child. This is why people shouldn't homeschool - you miss the important parts.

I forgot-I'll amend the post.

Is that better?

Better yes, but you are still short-siding counting bacon, cooking bacon, learning why certain peoples refuse to eat bacon, where does bacon come from, and eating a baconator from Wendy's.

This is probably why we don't have any kids.

I like this idea, we're going to start a similar program; not till 2008. But come January 1st it's game time.
