- I remember phone numbers. In fact, until recently, I never bothered to use the address book function on my phone, because I simply remembered all of the numbers I needed. I have had to break down and start using it since the move as there are a number of area codes here in the city-212,646, 917, etc. Also, many people who move here from other places in the country keep their phone numbers the same (just as we did) which results in even more area codes to keep track of.
- If I stay up too late, I get very hungry and must eat or I won't be able to sleep.
- I am a checker. If I have set my alarm, I check it several times before going to sleep to make sure it is set for the correct time and is turned on. I also check several times each night to make sure the door is locked-especially if I am home alone.
- When I have been invited to some function, I get really paranoid about making sure (checking several times, of course) that I get to the right place at the right time on the right day with the right things. I am terrified of being embarrassed by showing up at the wrong place or on the wrong day or time.
- I hate cleaning out the fridge. In fact, my fridge is currently a disaster.
- I have no idea what I currently weigh, and I'm not sure I even care. The important thing is that all of my clothes fit.
- I think like an editor. Whenever I read anything, I am constantly on the look-out for spelling and grammar mistakes. They drive me crazy!

more random things about me
Ever since the post about 7 random things about me, my head has been churning with random things about me. It's driving me bonkers. I'm going to spew them all out here in an effort to get them off my mind and hopefully regain my sanity.

Ha! I found another checker to validate my neuroses! Alan thinks I'm nuts because of how many times I check the alarm clock, or worry that the oven isn't off, etc. I have made a conscious effort lately to not be so crazy about it, but then I've missed some things that were written on my calendar recently because I didn't check it. Guess my fears were well founded.
I left the oven on once in Provo and came up to Salt Lake for the day. Yikes! It made me so freaked out! I still have a problem leaving the oven on; that is one thing that, apparently, I don't check often enough. David is always turning it off!
Maybe checking things is just a girl thing -- I do it too, drives Mark crazy.
Sorry if you hate reading my stuff. I hate spelling and grammar mistakes too; I know I'm not perfect though. I KNOW that I use the dash wrong lots of times - kind of on purpose. I like it better than starting new sentences all the time. Actually though, while reading your blog one time, I noticed your correct use of the dash, and greatly admired it.
