2007 in review

As I reflect back, it has been quite the year. I never anticipated my year turning out the way that it has, but I'm glad about how things went and where I am. I don't remember much about January through May other than we found out we were going to have a baby and went to visit New York City on a job interview for David. I do remember some anxiety from this time period about where we would be going and what we would be doing after David's graduation. He also graduated in the spring which was exciting for our family. I took a year leave of absence (basically, quit) from my job at the end of June/beginning of July. That was hard as I had been at Terra Linda for six years and had many good friends there as well as a number of great students. The majority of July was spent packing and being with family and friends as much as possible. In August we moved to New York City. This is certainly something I never anticipated doing in my life but am glad that we did. It has been a good experience for me as well as for our family. Baby Zach was born on September 13th, and I'm lucky to have such a wonderful, sweet angel for a baby. We've been adventuring in the city ever since, and I find that we have had an exciting year.
