yes, virginia...

...there is a Santa Claus. At Macy's in New York City, there are 20 of them, and it's a good thing, too! Sarah and I went down to Macy's on 34th Street today to see Santa Claus. We waited in line for about 15 minutes to see him. This was not a problem as they have it decorated to the hilt with Santa Land things. I took several pictures but didn't post them as Sarah was so enthralled with all of the decorations she was never looking at the camera. When you get to the end of the line, one of Santa's elves takes your party to a little room where Santa is. There are 20 of these rooms with a Santa in each one. The children, of course, have no idea that this is the case. This is a genius idea; whoever came up with it must have children and has had the experience of standing in any sort of a line with them. She sat on Santa's lap, told him the assorted princess junk she wants for Christmas, got her picture taken, gave him a hug (so sweet!), and we were off. The best part about the whole thing is that in additional to the picture they take of you ($18 for a 5x7), they will also take your picture with your digital camera for you.

Wow -- they really stick you for the 5x7! Glad Sarah is a believer!

I was thinking of a good nick-name for Z today; I think you should call him: Pork Chop. Very cute. Well, to me at least. And it fits him I think... because he's so thick and tender! :) But what do I know? Also, how long will you be in UT?
