a new favorite

I ventured down into Harlem USA for the second time today. There was simply no way around it--a little Christmas shopping needed to be done. I must admit that I was a little anxious about going to Harlem for the first several months that we lived here. This is a little bit ridiculous as it is perfectly safe, but the stereotype of Harlem is strong, I guess. 125th Street in Harlem is a good place for shopping as they have many of the stores that we don't have further uptown but is close enough to not take forever like going downtown can. They have an Old Navy there as well as an H&M. This may be one of my new favorite stores--a big thanks to Laura for introducing me to the store on her visit here back in October! For those of you who aren't in the know (as I wasn't at the time), it is a store that kind of fits price-wise between Old Navy and GAP. The clothes are adorable for kids and trendy for both men and women. I really like a lot of the women's clothing but think I need to slim down a bit and get a bit gutsier (meaning not so stinkin' conservative) before I go crazy and buy much. In the future, however, look for me to be sporting some H&M stuff!

Hurray for H&M! It's my favorite exclusively East Coast store.

I love H&M too! I miss having one close!

I'm going to have to come back to H&M. I love my coat and everyone at work is jealous...or they should be.

I really like H & M too! They do have one at the Mall of America in Minneapolis (not so exclusively east coast I guess). It's affordable, and so cute. however, I'm pretty lame in fashion; I definitely need to go and buy some stuff there. Last time I went there I had no money :(
