just wondering

  • why my kids always sleep in on Sundays when that is really the only day they need to get up early
  • why the city of New York pays people to push the buttons in the elevators on the subways and to sweep the parks but does not pay people to clean in the subway stations or shovel the snow
  • why things always taste better when I don't have to cook them (This is not meant as a reflection on my cooking skills.)
  • why it is impossible to eat only 10 m&ms
  • why both kids can never nap at the same time

I made your sweet potato dish. As I was eating it, I realized it is just 3 parts potato to 2 parts sugar to 2 parts butter. I think I could actually hear myself getting fatter. But it was delicious. I mixed it with some banana pudding.

For the record, it is not my potato dish. It is David's. He deserves all of the credit--along with Ruth's Chris Steakhouse.

My kids are hard wired to sleep in on Sundays too. I rely on them to get me out of bed since they usually get up way earlier. We nearly had a crisis this week when none of us woke up until 8:10.

I'll have to try the famous sweet potato dish...sounds delish.
