This is a photo of the George Washington Bridge which crosses the Hudson River into New Jersey and suburbian normalcy graciously taken by David from our bedroom window. It's beautiful to look at during the sunset or at night when it is lit up. On holidays the lights are especially bright, and they hang an enormous flag (people tell me it is the largest flag in the country) from the arch. We got to experience this for the first time on Labor Day and found it quite impressive. We attempted photos (one of which can be seen in the blog banner) but had trouble due to the flash. I think we'll give it another go on the next holiday to see if we have better luck. Anyway, we have this stunning view from our window every night. It sure beats the view of construction on Redwood Road. Sarah can even see it a little bit from her window. For the longest time, she kept calling it the Brooklyn Bridge. We have finally convinced her that it is in fact the George Washington Bridge, but she chooses instead to call it the "best bridge in the world." I look forward to running the bridge path over the river this fall when I return to some semblance of normal.
