my own words used against me

You know you've said something one too many times when your own child uses it against you. This is how the conversation went this morning.

Sarah: "Mom, are you going to wear your pajamas all day?"

Me: "No."

Sarah: "You should probably get dressed."

Me: "Why??"

Sarah: "You can't go out like that. People will look at you and say, 'Look at that lady; she's wearing her pajamas.'"
