role reversal

Since arriving in NY, David and I have experienced a little bit of a role reversal. On that first day when he had to get up at 7:00 am (which felt like 5:00 am Utah time) to go to work and I rolled over and went back to sleep until about 10:00, I really tried to feel bad for him. That lasted for about two minutes until I thought about all the times I had to get up at 5:00 am to go to aerobics or all the times I had to go to work early and left him snoozing in bed and didn't feel so bad for him anymore.

Since the arm incident, the role reversal has become even more pronounced. He now gets to help with washing dishes, making meals, cleaning, and all that fun stuff that would generally be my lot in life. In fact, I think he has done more cleaning since the move than I have. He's also a better cook. He's also really great at picking up take-out! He's really stepped it up for his poor invalid wife.
